Envious is someone who belittles himself because of lack. But is material comparison worth the talk? Let's see.

A baby is concieved and born without cellphone, laptop, car, house and lot. That infant will become a child and go schooling. He will set his desire for new toys, bags, pencils. After some years he will enter High School that puts pressure for more. Having the latest gadgets will mean increased popularity and a bragging rights. Then he finishes college and found decent occupation that demands him most. The standard has to be met so success be uttered - 2 story bungalow with backyard pool, a garden, first hand car, a private school for children, college investment plan, healthcare plan, and retiremet plan. Eventually he dies at a ripe age but having accomplished nothing. The standard is so high, he is more than willing to meet them, but his pocket only served him a month.

He lived a life driven by envy. As a baby he came to earth by himself, as an old man he is burried alone.

So Envious in Tagalog is naiingit. NA-I-ING-GIT.

to use it in a full sentence and say I'm Envious, it is NAIINGIT AKO.

CT Lesson 47 - How to say I'm Jealous in Tagalog

Jealous. What comes first in your mind when you encounter this word? Others say, especially couples, that jealousy is a sign of love. He loves his partner so much, it would end up in another fight if she mingles to anyone. Sarcastically, jealousy will soon come to this point - L.Q. or Lover's Quarrel.

But I see being jealous more that what they claim it to be. For me it is actually mistrust rooted from insecurity.

If I would enter in a relationship, I'll make sure my heart is complete. I don't buy the qoute "fix me I'm broken". And if I'm incomplete and be in mutual status with someone, surely it is rightful for me not to trust and be insecure. Isn't it unfair to her? She not the problem, I am.

So jealousy and all issues of life can be avoided once both parties are emotionally whole. But can I become whole all by myself? If "fix me I'm  broken", didn't I came to a point when I gave up trying to fix myself? Yes, the idea is great but I want fact more than fiction. Show me how!

And that place of total brokenness no man can fix is where God sets in. If fixing a broken heart be available in Med Schools, then Doctors could prescribe cure over the counter. But that's not the case. So if men didn't made us, why seek healing through them? Can Samsung fix Toshiba? Can HP fix Lenovo? No. God made you so run after him for your heart. And it will be restored as good as brand new.

To say I am jealous, it is "nagseselos ako" nag-se-se-los a-ko.

Jealous in Tagalog is Selos, and I is ako. To combine it in a sentene it will repeat a syllable and add a word.

CT Lesson 46 - What is disrespectful in Tagalog

Every country has its own custom of morality. For example, in the Philippines, we grab a hand of someone older and put it in our forehead with a bowing motion. That's called "mano". it shows that you're respecting the person you mano with. it is a usual scene on family reunion, when all range of age will meet.

However, these simple acts are not practiced by this generation. I mean for every 20 years, new set of customed people are born. Imagine a family gathering. The 40 years olds are showing respect to 60 years olds by "mano po". but the 20 years old, high-spirited and self-centered, wouldn't even care to build relationship to the distant 60  years old. That's how rebellious modern man is.

it is disrespectful or walang galang

the word walang comes from the root word WALA, meaning to have nothing or of no content.

the word galang in english means respect. And MAGALANG is the english word for respectful.
