How to learn Tagalog Language?

Tagalog is a regional language around central Luzon that has been the foundation of Filipino, the standardized language we use today. Unlike Cebuano or Bicolano, Tagalog is popularly known at province although its citizens have primary dialect. For instance, a Cebuano speaker can understand Tagalog but can speak the Visayan language. However, people living in Luzon don’t readily understand Cebuano. On the other hand, Tagalog is not superior to Cebuano, Bicolano, Hiligaynon, and other languages. All languages of the Philippines are uniquely relevant because they signify the rich linguistic variety of the Philippine.

To help people learn Tagalog better, here are some tips that will surely ease the learning process. The list below shall be a guide for more effective learning.

1.       Write the word. By writing down the unfamiliar terms to a notebook, you will have a better understanding and will better disambiguate whether it is a noun, pronoun, verb, or some other part of speech.
2.       Use the new word. Either through speaking or writing, you must use the new word to become more familiar with its proper use.
3.       Construct simple sentences. Starting a simple sentence can boost your moral by using what you already have. So, be mindful of the agreements the word may have with other words in the sentence.
4.       Practice conversation with natives. Again, it is a confidence booster when you talk to natives who will guide you. You must be open to being correct, so you can learn better without being emotional.
5.       Listen to language use. Keen observation is an important factor to learning Tagalog. Try asking for its synonym and antonyms to understand its meaning and usage better.

Surely, learning any language takes time and effort. New students must be courageous enough to face disappointments with a good attitude. The list given above can be a helpful guide.
