Introduction

Communicate Tagalog seeks to teach you how to speak Filipino Language. Philippines is a country in south east asia. It has many dialects through out Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, but Tagalog is used in central Luzon, Marinduque, and few provinces.

Philippine Dialect includes Bisaya, Bicolano, Batanggenyo, Cebuano, Ilokano, Waraynon, and more. Imagine how great an opposition became when Tagalog was to be used in general. However Tagalog itself is so deep, most people today can't understand or would find it offensive.

For exzmple:

1. Salumpuwit - upuan or chair
2. Sipnayan - matematika or math

So Filipino, our official language can be compared to a white shirt, washed together with colored shirts, got stained but painted a new design. This design is worn by almost all Filipinos today. Its inticrate details are inffluenced by spanish such that but not limited to numbering; uno, dos, tres... alas kwatro, ala una imedia... siento bente. Then came another strand called English. This strand is much better, the government decided Philippines would be a bilingual country. Our mother tounge is Filipino but we use English on daily basis too. Result then are beneficial. Having general language help education, business transaction, government meetings, and most especially our way we communicate to others.

If Filipino is the official mother tounge, why not make it communicate filipino? Well, it is actually possible but I see Tagalog Language as an art. It is like a painting that when you analyze and take time interpreting it your way, fascination begins. I'm amazed how Rizal wrote his works. And writing lyrical poems in Tagalog makes me glad. And this kind of AWE is what I want to share to you guys. This may not come from blue or white collar hands but purpose drives me more than anything else.

Every language has different form of pattern, for English it is Subject-Verb-Object or for Japan Object-Verb-Subject. We can go all out in technical 'Wika at Pagbasa' or 'Language and Reading' but behind learning the book-stuff our purpose is what matters. So learning Tagalog will level-up to a deeper realm if our purpose is to Communicate. In fact, formality alone sometimes lack communication. But here we want to learn so we can relate our thoughts with each other, as of our class, it is Tagalog or Filipino Language.

Our lesson will focus on short sentences (dissecting the sentence pattern), commonly used phrases, tagalog translations, and more. It will be provided along with a podcast episode per lesson.

You can start any lesson you want because your learning will depend on your hunger to speak Tagalog. I suggest the 'Most Learned' section at the right corner of our site, there you'll be updated about what other people are learning too.

So from now on we have two rules:

1. Click Play
2. Learn
